Regina, May 11 2016 - The library of the elementary pavilion at École Monseigneur de Laval school in Regina will now be called " Bibliothèque Suzette-Fafard " in memory of a deceased teacher of Conseil des Écoles Fransaskoises, has decreed the Francophone school Board at its latest meeting on 9 May.
"Her colleagues and her school community wanted to honor her memory, to preserve the memory of her contribution to Fransaskois education. Naming the school library in her honor, where she taught school seemed the most vivid recognition that could be bestowed her posthumously. "
Suzette Boutin-Fafard leaves the vibrant memory of too short a presence in the school community:
"Mrs. Fafard, a teacher and mother of young students with the CÉF died of cancer August 4, 2014. She embodied the best values of devotion an education professional might embrace," stressed CSF President André Denis.

The school team and relatives of Ms. Fafard are behind the initiative. École Monseigneur de Laval school has officially inaugurated Suzette-Fafard Library on May 27 at a special ceremony at the elementary pavilion in Regina.

A first-language school today, a bilingual Francophone for life! - The Conseil des écoles fransaskoises (CÉF) is home to 1,900 preschool to Grade 12 students in 15 elementary and secondary schools across the province. Financed by the Ministry of Education, it is the only French as a first language school board in Saskatchewan.
