Regina, Monday September 21, 2015 - The Conseil des écoles fransaskoises (CÉF) - Saskatchewan's Francophone school division, announced today the appointment of Marcel Lizotte to the position of Human Resources Coordinator.
"A seasoned HR professionnal familiar with Francophone and Anglophone education environments in Western Canada, Mr. Lizotte has managed the human resources sector in two French-language school boards in Alberta. He has just completed a 5-year term as Director of Education at the Conseil Scolaire du Nord-Ouest in Alberta."
Marcel Lizottes holds a Master's degree in Education Administration. His journey as a teacher, an education leader and as a human resource professionnal make him a great addition to the HR team and to the organization as whole, noted CÉF Executive Director of Operations Ronald Ajavon:
"Mr. Lizotte's skillset will bring great value to our school board at a pivotal moment in its evolution. Mr. Lizotte is not only familiar with the special challenges faced by school boards in Francophone minority communities, he has work experience in Manitoba and New Brunswick; even in East Africa, where he had the opportunity to teach in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania, acquiring in-depth understanding of realities prevalent in linguistically, culturally and ethnically diverse environments. "
Mr. Lizotte's appointment takes effect this week.

A first-language school today, a bilingual Francophone for life! - The Conseil des écoles fransaskoises (CÉF) is home to 1,900 preschool to Grade 12 students in 15 elementary and secondary schools across the province. Financed by the Ministry of Education, it is the only French as a first language school board in Saskatchewan.
