  • André Messier Named CÉF Deputy Executive Director of Education

Regina, August 10, 2016 – The Conseil des écoles fransaskoises - Saskatchewan’s Francophone school division appointed André Messier as Deputy Executive Director of Education, CÉF’s Executive Director of Education Bernard Roy announced today.

"We are pleased to have attracted a candidate of André Messier’s caliber. He is known as someone who posesses demonstrated experience in strategic planning and change management in large educational organizations"

A veteran senior executive who held posts in management and advising capacities in the field of education over the last 26 years, Mr. Messier’s professional journey has prepared him well for his new role.

Step by step, experience has allowed him to earn ever greater responsibilities in evolving contexts, both demographically and in terms of resources and skills requirements in Education, notes Bernard Roy:

Throughout his career, he has displayed well-honed guidance skills in the areas of governance, the implementation of policies and programs. Mr. Messier leaves his current position as Executice Director of the Commission scolaire du Val-des-Cerfs in Granby, Quebec, where he has been employed since 2007. His commitment, his ability to mobilize and make difficult decisions, will help motivate his teams and enable them to achieve goal-oriented levels of excellence in a complex environment

A first-language school today, a bilingual Francophone for life! - The Conseil des écoles fransaskoises (CÉF) is home to 1,900 preschool to Grade 12 students in 15 elementary and secondary schools across the province. Financed by the Ministry of Education, it is the only French as a first language school board in Saskatchewan.
